We are a co-operative of independently published Brighton-based authors; set up to create a place where the story can come first, regardless of genre or where it sits on the commercial/literary spectrum. Storyland Press understands that sometimes we want a strong genre-based novel or lighter read, and other times we want something that is harder to catagorise or more challenging - ultimately though, what we always want is a GOOD STORY!

Brighton Fringe Reading Event at Jubilee Library

We've had a great run of reading events this year - and still more to come!

Despite the record-breaking temperatures we had a full house at Brighton's Jubilee Library for our Storyland Reading.  Founding authors, Shani Struthers, V K McGivney and Corinna Edwards-Colledge all read from a range of their novels and there was a competition for the best opening line of a novel including the word 'library'!  This was followed during Libraries Week in October with two great reading events held at Patcham and Hove Libraries where the authors enjoyed meeting and chatting with local book-lovers.

NEXT EVENTS:

We'll be meeting members at the Brighton & Hove Inner Wheel and Women's Institute in November doing readings and holding a Q&A and book sales.  We'll also be at the Brighton & Hove Christmas Art & Craft Market - more details coming soon...

The Good Ship Storyland is well and truly launched!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along on our launch night and helped to make it such a great success!  Well over 100 Brighton & Hove book lovers joined us for a drink, a bit of literary chat, competitions and signings and there was such a lovely atmosphere and a real buzz around about sharing great storytelling.
