We are a co-operative of Brighton-based authors, published by Authors Reach Ltd, who come together for events, readings and to promote great writing in the city.  Storyland is a place where the story can come first, regardless of genre or where it sits on the commercial/literary spectrum.  We embrace strong genre-based novels, short stories, lighter reads, and writing that is harder to catagorise or more challenging - ultimately though, what we always want is a GOOD STORY!

We had a great run of reading events last year, and 2018 is shaping up to be just as busy!

NEXT EVENTS:

Brighton Book Fayre, Saturday 12 May 2018: Come along to All Saints Church between 2 and 6pm and meet some great local authors.  We'll be there with a Storyland Stall with books at special event prices and some fantastic new releases. Brighton & Hove Book Fayre

Wordstock, Saturday 19 May 2018: A whole day of live performances, open mic, workshops, book-fabulous stalls, food, music and more. 19 May 2018 at Brighton's lovely Open Market.  Come along and say hello at the Storyland stall!  We'll have all our books at special event prices, including some hot-off-the-press new releases!  Wordstock 2018

We love our City Libraries, and really enjoyed a number of reading events for the Brighton Festival and Libraries Week in Jubilee, Hove & Patcham Libraries.   Founding authors, Shani Struthers, V K McGivney and Corinna Edwards-Colledge all read from a range of their novels and short stories, ran competitions and met and chatted with local book-lovers.

The Good Ship Storyland is well and truly launched!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along on our launch night and helped to make it such a great success!  Well over 100 Brighton & Hove book lovers joined us for a drink, a bit of literary chat, competitions and signings and there was such a lovely atmosphere and a real buzz around about sharing great storytelling.
