We are a new Brighton-based Independent publisher set up by local authors to create a place where the story can come first, regardless of genre or where it sits on the commercial/literary spectrum. Storyland Press understands that sometimes we want a strong genre-based novel or lighter read, and other times we want something that is harder to catagorise or more challenging - ultimately though, what we always want is a GOOD STORY!

Brighton Fringe Reading Event, Friday 26 May!

Join us for a fantastic FREE Storyland Press Brighton Festival Fringe event at the Jubilee Library between 12 and 1.30 on Friday 26 May.

There will be readings from best-selling paranormal thriller writer Shani Struthers' novels The Venetian and Blakemort; Brighton-based novel The Soul Room, and thrilling new novella, The Call, from Corinna Edwards-Colledge; and excerpts from brand new comedy thriller, The Reluctant Hero and contemporary sci-fi adventure Inheritors of the New Kingdom by V K McGivney.

Join us and meet the authors, get a cuppa from the library cafe and escape the world for an hour and a half!  There will also be competitions, an author Q&A and special festival prices on all paperbacks.  £1 of every book sale will also go to our wonderful local Martlets Hospice.

The Good Ship Storyland is well and truly launched!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along on our launch night and helped to make it such a great success!  Well over 100 Brighton & Hove book lovers joined us for a drink, a bit of literary chat, competitions and signings and there was such a lovely atmosphere and a real buzz around about sharing great storytelling.
